Blythe has done it again. The Magic Bullet novels are great and this one is no exception. A heroine that you can root for. Surprising plot twists are a staple. There are so many lovable characters. A lot of so called acclaimed writers spend a lot of time painting a picture with their writing. But when I read a book, I let my mind build a world through the writer's words. I was hoping the cuffs would come off by this book and Alyse would regain all her powers. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting. Even though Alyse is still cuffed this was a really good book. I did figure out the villain early on, but I was ok with that since couldn't figure out all the other elements. Quite a few shocks in this book and I can't wait to see how it plays out in the next book. I'm not sure if I could have made the decision that Alyse did towards the end. I'm too selfish and she made a moral call that did not benefit her, but was the right thing to do. I'm hoping in the next book Alyse gets the cuffs off and quits beating herself up. All in all a good read that I would recommend to those who love urban fantasy
The 4th book in the series. This follows a cliff-hanger, so please read the first three before digging into this one. It will be worth the effort.
This one starts with Pinky and Alyse with a new job. This does not mean trouble doesn't follow them. Now it seems it isn't only Alyse trouble follows. Or is that because Pinky is practically joined at the hip with her mentor, Alyse?
I am about a quarter of the way through the book and am getting very, very bad vibes from a new character. We'll see.
Danger is everywhere, in places the reader may or not see. A huge battle between good and evil in the most unlikely of places.
Again, Ms. Chase hits the ball not only out of the ballpark, but into space. There's a lot of love in this book. A lot of action as well. Truly different from any other book I've read.
The three stories in the Magic Bullet series have been great! I love seeing how Alyse and her friends develop. The caring and yes the love for each other has been beautiful to see.
I will say in Demon Hunt I knew who the bad guy was long before all was revealed. I kept wanting to tell Alyse ... Can't you see?, Can't you see!! The fact that I wanted to interact with the story shows just how real the characters were to me.
P.S. Loved the animals in the zoo during their last scene in the book!
This book is entertaining. I really like the character development and story line. Will try and read the whole series.
Fight scenes were neat. I like the moral development of the main character. The romantic subplot is good- would like more but it works. Pinky is great and alyse snark is the best. Fun series.
For a Djinn stuck in a human body she sure can find a lot of trouble.And that is exactly what she does...Between her knowledge and her friends never know what is going to happen next.
This 3rd book in the trilogy was the best one so far, and the others were really good. Good story & characters. Love the snarky humor but mostly caring. Strong female lead. On to book 4.
